Sensor System

A Mystical, interactive, aesthetic, computer experience.

1. When people move in the installation squares are generated in the axis they move. Rotation is added and intergalactic patterns result.

The Sensor System was used as part of my artist-in-residency at Loughborough University with the C&CRS for COSTART, partly funded by the EPSRC Grant GR/M14517 Studies of Computer Support for Creative Work, Artists and Technologists in Collaboration, 1999.
Mike Quantrill (pictured above) programmed and wrote the software for the system.

2."Interactive computer contrast between the figurative Moral and the abstract Mystical."

When people are still in the installation abstract patterns of swastikas and mandalas move. This mystical tree of life in the Garden of Eden links to the Being of Becoming. When people choose to move then the tree of knowledge of good and evil grows, this links to the Becoming of Being.
