Meeting at The Art Centre, the group is a thriving friendly group of approximately
93 members, painting in various media.

A members' only workshop meets on Wednesday afternoons where members
meet to paint, chat, and, if required, offer advice.

On several Wednesday afternoons a year from 2.00 - 4.00pm demonstrations, lectures
or workshops are held in The Art Centre, where tuition is given by guest artists
on various subjects and media - Fee: Non Members £2, Members £1.
Three exhibitions are held at The Art Centre each year which give members
the opportunity to show and possibly sell their paintings.  A smaller exhibition,
which is part of the Xmas Fair, takes place in October/December.
Additional exhibitions are held at other locations.

The Painting Group welcomes new members who enjoy painting and would
like to improve their painting hobby.

Art slides and viewer.
Mount cutter, tool to insert diamond tacks to fix frame to backing board.

Refreshments: Members 20p     Visitors 50p

Paintings will only be accepted for competitions (e.g. Open Exhibition,
Jean Grange Award and the Ron Coobes Cup) provided that they are the
original work by the artist entering the competition, either from a composition
or a sketch done by the artist or from a photograph taken by the artist.  Copies
can be displayed at other times, but the original artist or photographer must
be acknowledged.
