schools
Northern Artists into Schools (NAiS) is a cross-regional agency providing information and advice on arts-in-education. It has a register of artists and organisations in all arts disciplines who are interested in working with young people in Yorkshire and the North West of England.
NAiS offers a free service to schools and organisations seeking artists to work in an educational context. The project was set up by the three Northern Regional Arts Board and is supported by Sheffield Hallam University, North West Arts and Yorkshire Arts. NAiS's services are available to schools, artists and arts organisations residing in those regions.
Northern Artists into Schools is a free service available to schools, artists and organisations. It works in several ways
matching artists to schools' requirements
disseminating advice to schools and artists
working with other arts and education agencies and organisations in the region
promoting good practice in arts in education
We do not fund projects and residencies, we help schools to set them up and find suitable artists. Contact us if you are an artist and we will add your name to the register. If you are a teacher, contact us if you are looking for artists for a project or if you would like to know about artists working in your area. |
