Search Methods

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

studio arts

finds documents containing 'studio ' or 'arts'

studio or arts

same as above

studio and arts

finds documents containing both 'studio' and 'arts'

studio not arts

finds documents containing 'studio' but not ' arts'

(studio not arts) and gallery

finds documents containing 'gallery', plus 'studio' but not ' arts'

art*

finds documents containing words starting with ' art' e.g. artist
